Il nostro ministro degli esteri Tajani non perde occasione per dimostrare la sua incompetenza e ignoranza storica.
In un suo intervento celebrativo del 25 aprile ha paragonato la lotta dei partigiani a quella dei combattenti ucraini. Si può strumentalizzare tutto e raccontare anche falsità, arrivare perfino a mistificare i fatti, ma ci vuole una buona dose di ignoranza e stupidità ad arrivare a tanto. Nessuno può disconoscere che chi oggi governa in Ucraina è giunto al potere con un sanguinoso colpo di stato nel 2014 a cui hanno fatto seguito le gesta dei neonazisti del battaglione Azov che hanno perseguitato le popolazioni di etnia russa del Donbass. Gli attuali dirigenti ucraini si rifanno all’ideologia del nazionalista Stepan Bandera e dei suoi seguaci complici dei nazisti durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Migliaia di russi, ucraini e ebrei sono stati barbaramente trucidati dai nazionalisti ucraini.
Mistificare la storia, i fatti salienti, che hanno portato nuovamente i nazisti nazionalisti al potere è una vergogna che macchia il nostro paese.
Tajani dovrebbe capire che anziché alimentare il clima di guerra dovrebbe cominciare da politico a dirci come uscirne e soprattutto aprire spiragli diplomatici per ridare la pace.
Ma pretendere questo da un parvenu della politica è troppo.

In a celebratory speech on 25 April he compared the struggle of the partisans to that of the Ukrainian fighters. You can exploit everything and even tell falsehoods, even go so far as to mystify the facts, but it takes a good dose of ignorance and stupidity to get to that point. No one can deny that those who govern Ukraine today came to power with a bloody coup d'état in 2014 which was followed by the exploits of the neo-Nazis of the Azov battalion who persecuted the ethnic Russian populations of Donbass. The current Ukrainian leaders refer to the ideology of the nationalist Stepan Bandera and his followers who were accomplices of the Nazis during the Second World War. Thousands of Russians, Ukrainians and Jews were barbarously massacred by Ukrainian nationalists.
Mystifying history, the salient facts, which brought the nationalist Nazis back to power is a shame that stains our country.
Tajani should understand that instead of fueling the climate of war he should start as a politician to tell us how to get out of it and above all open diplomatic opportunities to restore peace.
But expecting this from a political upstart is too much.
